How might we transform a traditional trustee meeting into an innovation session? How might we increase staff retention? How might we engage young men in women's empowerment? These are just a few of the wicked problems I've collaborated with clients on. The power of curiosity and divergent thinking sparks innovation. I take a user-centered approach to solving wicked problems. In partnership with my clients, I uncover, build, and deliver tailored solutions. Whether collaborating with internal teams or external partners - the more diversity of thought, the better our results.

PW: feedback101!
I joined the team to help orchestrate a summit of leading development professionals and quickly found myself a founding member of the startup. Within a year we determined the organization's need to venture beyond our fiscal sponsorship and a few months later I incorporated Feedback Labs as a 501(c)3, developed HR and financial systems, and began hiring our growing team.
Throughout my nearly 6 years with Feedback Labs I oversaw the daily operations of the organization and team, managed our $1.2 million budget, created forecasting models, produced 3 unqualified audits, coordinated a 9 person staff and managed 4 direct reports. I developed new financially sustainable programming, facilitated dozens of courses, and supported 100s of practitioners to craft their feedback plans. Finally, I scaled our business model for training program, hired and coached expert facilitators, and delivered courses across 3 continents.

Volunteer Teacher
I believe any child, given the opportunity, can succeed. Too few are given that chance. I first fought for that chance for Indian children born into generational poverty as a college volunteer. They quickly captured my heart and I returned for my first post-college job as the school's onsite administrator: representing The George Foundation key liaison between the US and Indian teams, managing 40+ volunteer teachers, interfacing with donors, coordinating daily school operations, teaching classes and extracurricular programming and securing $4,000 in grant funding for experiential education.
I later joined the US team to support these efforts. For our first ever #GivingTuesday crowdfunding campaign, I mobilized a team of 20 to raise over $150,000. In preparation for the release of the Netflix Docuseries Daughters of Destiny, I managed of team of of 6 volunteers and contractors to redesign the organizations' website. As I transitioned out of my role, I led the hiring process for 7+ consultants and external contractors to grow the US team.

TEACHING ASSISTANT
I was drawn to Malaysia because of its near equal educational opportunities for girls and boys. Based in a secondary school in the rural state of Kelantan, I discovered the reality is always more complicated than what's on paper. Over the course of a year I worked to better define and promote inclusive classrooms. I designed a curriculum to engage 700+ students and their families in the English language, developed and implemented over a dozen programs of cultural engagement for students and community members across the country.
My fellow ETAs and I raised over $12,000 from The Kelantan State Islamic Police to conduct state-wide English camps for Vocational Arts and Young Women’s Leadership for 300+ students. And I'll never forget collaborating with State Department's Sports Envoy Program and U.S. World Cup champions to host a soccer clinic for 100 of my students!
Education

JOHNS HOPKINS CAREY BUSINESS SCHOOL
Masters in Business Administration
(MBA)
Reaching out MBA Fellow
Being a business student in my hometown of Baltimore, MD has focused my efforts locally. Designing opportunities for young people at the Druid Hill Y is just the beginning of what's possible! And, as a ROMBA Fellow at Carey, it's paramount that I celebrate what it means to be a queer business leader. Watch our stories here.
2021 - 2023
MARYLAND INSTITUTE COLLEGE OF ART
MA Design Leadership
Design Leadership means uncovering novel solutions to often unappreciated problems: from changing the way we connect in hybrid-classroom environments to establishing teaming values. As a MA/MBA student ambassador, I work to connect current students and alumni in our shared visions of designing better ways to put people first.
2010 - 2014
UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA - CHAPEL HILL
BA Women's & Gender Studies
BA Anthropology
Morehead-Cain Scholar
Dean's List
My career, even before it was officially “my career” has always been about understanding the people behind the problems worth solving. In college I ran a community garden working to overcome food access issues in Chapel Hill, raising over $23,000 and incubating the organization as a 501(c)3.
Additionally, I discovered my passion for teaching and facilitating as a co-instructor for the North Carolina Fellows Program and as a Student Instructor where I designed and taught curriculum on "Oral History and the Public University."
